A standing refraction is an eye exam performed while you stand, designed to find a glasses prescription that aligns your vision with a neutral, upright, and balanced posture. Seated refraction is the standard method of determining a glasses prescription, but a standing refraction may be warranted for those experiencing visual-vestibular issues or other symptoms. This approach helps identify how the eyes perform when the body is upright and interacting with gravity - more closely mirroring real-world conditions. Special thanks to our PRI (postural restoration institute) physical therapists for the referrals and trust in us to collaborate care.
