Our adorable 4 yo patient is working on her:
โ๏ธEye tracking skills
โ๏ธEye-hand coordination
โ๏ธAnti-suppression
In some patients with visual challenges such as a ๐๐๐ซ๐ช ๐๐ช๐ (amblyopia) or ๐๐ช๐ ๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ฃ๐ (strabismus), the brain can shut off information to their eye (suppression). The goal with vision therapy is to increase visual input to the brain so that the brain uses both eyes equally (reduce suppression). ๐ง ๐
Check out our video to see how the Red/Blue glasses can help! If the brain shuts off information to an eye, the target disappears. This gives the brain feedback to send more visual input to that eye and make the target reappear!
