Fun with Red/Blue Glasses! โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’™

Our adorable 4 yo patient is working on her:

โœ”๏ธEye tracking skills
โœ”๏ธEye-hand coordination
โœ”๏ธAnti-suppression

In some patients with visual challenges such as a ๐•๐•’๐•ซ๐•ช ๐•–๐•ช๐•– (amblyopia) or ๐•–๐•ช๐•– ๐•ฅ๐•ฆ๐•ฃ๐•Ÿ (strabismus), the brain can shut off information to their eye (suppression). The goal with vision therapy is to increase visual input to the brain so that the brain uses both eyes equally (reduce suppression). ๐Ÿง ๐Ÿ‘€

Check out our video to see how the Red/Blue glasses can help! If the brain shuts off information to an eye, the target disappears. This gives the brain feedback to send more visual input to that eye and make the target reappear!
